Floats my boat!

I sort of had a little summer break there...

I think I'm in love. Oh wait, it's pretty much what I'm already trying to do at home!

Etsy finds

Charming things I came across while surfing Etsy today...

Brilliant idea which would make me chuckle every morning, if I had one. KnotWorkshop.

Monty Python is always right. YellowBugBoutique.

Ah yes, Doctor Who for your Kindle. bowlerhatbudgie.

No brand

I have been tinkering some more, thinking I should perhaps design a laptop sleeve as well when I get the skin. It could of course be used as a skin too.

This is a classic graphic design from a co-op grocery store chain, Konsum, and it's called blue-white (blåvitt in Swedish).  The font is (and was) Futura and colour is RGB 0 0 64, background white. Back in the days this was the symbol of no brand food in Sweden, decent and inexpensive. These days it's sadly gone.

Dave, my mind is going.

Got to have a laptop skin. I didn't find any that I liked so I decided to make my own.

Yes, I'm a geek. A sci fi geek.

Worn and homely

The natural cause when you get past the super minimalist home decoration style (you know, you have kids and a significant other who simply doesn't work with the concept 1 spork, 1 cushion, 1 bowl) is to head in the general direction of industrial. Cosy industrial I might add. If you can't have a perfect void of things, then don't try any half-measures.

I don't remember where I got these (well Google obviously, but I don't recall the sites) but it's the home of some designer in the USA, that much I know. Oh I know, concrete is such an evil material ecologically, but I love it. I really do.

The batcomputer is none too frisky today, Batman.

This evening I have been working on Batman and Robin outfits for Chupa Chups. I spotted the idea to give lollipops superhero looks a while ago (here) and decided to make a Batman and Robin outfit for those lollipops. It's of course with the small ears on the mask and the less pointy black bat against a larger yellow background, just as in the original series.

Trophies

My Darling have provided us with our fair share of roe deer skulls on plaques, and now they're all trendy. Time to put them up.
